Products that meet FEMP recommendations are likely to serve most agency needs. If you need specialized features not found in these products, you may need to consider products that do not meet the FEMP-recommended low standby level. In the future, FEMP may recommend low standby levels for other categories of products to meet the objectives of Executive Order 13221.

* If this product will be connected to a local area network and operated continuously, buyers should select an Energy Star product with the lowest possible sleep power level.

** As of Jan. 1, 2006, the Energy Star specification for computer monitors includes a standby power requirement of 1 watt or less. All monitors that are Energy Star-qualified under this new specification meet the FEMP-recommended standby power level.
